Giraffe Cafe and iPad

A lot of Melbournians would have heard of Giraffe Cafe. It's on Lt Lonsdale St, towards Queen St.
I first heard of it around my birthday last year. A few friends wanted to go there just before we went to my birthday dinner, but it was closed for another function.
I've been lemming to go ever since!
I finally got a chance to go with my bestie last week. The interior is so cute. Very vintage-esque quirky feel. It gave me inspiration to decorate my room like that when I get to in September.

By the time we got there, I was so hungry! I ordered their mushroom risotto, mushroom soup and green tea frappe. The mushroom risotto was my favourite out of all three. The soup was okay, a little runny but it tasted nice. The green tea frappe was a bit strange for me. It tasted super yoghurty and not enough green tea.

We also found Gwangsoo here! Gwangsoo is a member of the show Running Man. It's a very funny variety show and I definitely recommend everyone to watch it! iSubs provides very high quality English subs, but they've stopped subbing unfortunately. Kshownow has English subs not only for Running Man but also other variety shows.

I actually really like Giraffe Cafe. It has good atmosphere and the food is okay. It's reasonably priced and there's also lunch specials too.

After eating at Giraffe, I went to buy my iPad!

I purchased the 3rd Generation iPad. I was debating whether or not to get the 3rd Generation or iPad 2. The  difference in the resolution is huge! I can clearly see the difference between the two screens. My friend Spermy couldn't see the difference so I guess it depends on the person. I paid $485 for the iPad which isn't a bad deal!

This is my Apple family :) Ellen the Macbook Pro, Charlie the 4th Generation iPod nano, Charlie II the iPod touch and Oliver the iPad!

Factors of De-stress

Since it's the holidays, I've been working a lot. I need a way to de-stress so I took to art!
I've always wanted to dabble in watercolours from a young age, but I've never had the opportunity.

I also bought myself a wooden pose doll because I'm actually pretty terrible with perspective and the relationship between the human body and space.

My first watercolour! It's a simple scene that I learnt to do from an online video - or the mountain and sky at least. The inspiration was Remembrance Day ceremonies. Sunset sky, a bare mountain but at the foot is a field of poppies - as symbol of all those who died on that field fighting for freedom. The poppies, red like the blood that was shed that day.

My friend Lawrence visited me today at work and we went for Snag Stand after work. Note to self - don't get the shredded cheese next time. It was still yummy! It's just hard to eat.

I also set out today to buy an eyebrow pencil. I was actually looking for the Shu Uemura one, but they didn't have any of the shade I wanted in stock ): I did sign up for the notification of when the stock would come in though.
I also wanted the Revlon Photoready compact foundation but it was out of stock!
I was so frustrated that I lashed out and bought the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, a l'Occitane hand cream and Chanel's Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle. I also got a free mascara sample which was awesome sauce.

I've also been watching The Legend of Korra. It's the sequel to 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' and it's pretty darn good! I'm a little weirded out by how fast the progression of characters and their relationships with each other are, but it could be because I watched it in two days. I can't wait for the next season!

SAMA Camp

Yesterday I came home from camp, organised by the awesome committee of SAMA (Society of Anime and Manga Appreciation).

( ´ ▽ ` )ノ タダイマァ

I went on this camp last year, and I had a really great time then. This year was no different.

I was made a team leader this year for the first day of activities. I thought our team was very cute and we had a pretty awesome name - Badger Badger Badger Badger (Mushroom! Mushroom!). It reminds me of Teemo ^^

My team came 3rd last (I was never really a valuable addition to any team rankings haha!) and so we had to clean up for dinner the first night. My hands were like... granny fingers ): But my hands ended up being really really smooth afterwards .__.

Definitely a lot of memories to do with drinking. Some very adorable one-drink-and-they're-completely-drunk people and some others were pretty rowdy.

All in all, everyone had heaps of fun! Meeting new people, learning to play new games and just having heaps of fun. I love camps.

I also ended up getting sick so I couldn't go to work today. I didn't want to infect all the customers with my violent coughing. So I'm researching how to build a computer from scratch!

 ..._〆(・∀・@)

My dad's going to help me but I want to choose and buy the parts myself. I don't want to clog up my Macbook Pro with all my games and stuff so I want to build a separate computer for all my games - Sims 3, League of Legends and Heroes of Might and Magic.
