<br />
I had such strong cupcake cravings on Monday it was crazy! Friends and I went to Knox to hang around a little - namely at Toys R Us. It's strange... every time we go and hang out somewhere, we always end up with children's toys...<br />
I also had a pretty strong cupcake craving. To be perfectly honest, I personally don't like cupcakes. I like the idea of cupcakes. Most of the time the cake is far too dry for my liking. I like things like almond blondies where the cake is moist and dense.<br />
<br />
I watched <a href="https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CDsQtwIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DcWhJzAwBnEM&ei=HcWaUdD3NsiwkgXmx4GQBg&usg=AFQjCNFKdR9QQoGIX0la59f61l2gFuaC_g&sig2=CmIeOolNSOs6HN09pCU9Wg&bvm=bv.46751780,d.dGI">Bubzbeauty's Bra Fitting Video</a> and I've gotta say, I never realised I was wearing the wrong bra. I mean, my bra was a little uncomfortable, but I thought the next cup size would be too big. I took advantage of Chadstone's VIP night to buy some new bras. I came out of Bras n Things very happy and pleasantly surprised. My 12C/14Bs were actually 14Ds! It goes to show that the cup alone doesn't really say how "big" you are. It's because of how breasts are portrayed in media that a lot of girls underestimate their size.<br />
<br />
Saturday was a huge day. I played paintball with a few friends and we had a coupon for cheaper paintball. It still wasn't all that cheap ($40) but seeing as I've never been, I decided to give it a try. And what a terrible idea that was. I'm someone who bruises like a peach and has a very low pain threshold. I got hit a few times in the head (above the helmet!) and twice in the thigh. Unfortunately, one of the paintballs that hit me didn't explode on impact, so it hurt a lot more. I now have a bruise that is larger than a 50c coin.<br />
<br />
I also went to see Oblivion - spontaneous decision. I'll write about this more in a few days.<br />
<br />
How was your week?<br />

While I was at Singapore, I decided to purchase Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in 20 Beige. I had always been meaning to purchase this foundation, but never really had the need - until I found out my mother had thrown out most of my makeup back in Melbourne (which included Urban Decay Anniversary and Naked palettes, Too Faced Naked and Dior foundation). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was far cheaper in Singapore than it was in Melbourne, but that may have also been because it was duty-free. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGzPw9Ooy6SnJSOplyZYqbg3UFNM_noHTeNJ7LDMyXjLlnlrAWLp8Rm2PtTfqyOSct-R2u06fOqVUdakxFqpCn3WFc2IgqWrCNMH3X3hyphenhyphen6VS-Zjq5g0CVVVMqJmZYPmycEpRR0YdDziA/s1600/2013-05-15+20.01.27.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGzPw9Ooy6SnJSOplyZYqbg3UFNM_noHTeNJ7LDMyXjLlnlrAWLp8Rm2PtTfqyOSct-R2u06fOqVUdakxFqpCn3WFc2IgqWrCNMH3X3hyphenhyphen6VS-Zjq5g0CVVVMqJmZYPmycEpRR0YdDziA/s400/2013-05-15+20.01.27.jpg" width="300" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The packaging is a plastic opaque bottle. I dislike the fact that the bottle is opaque and not transparent as you can't tell how much foundation you still have left. It contains 30ml or 1fl.oz. Since the bottle is a rectangular shape, it fits nicely into bag pockets or makeup storage units without it looking awkward. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You'll need to shake the bottle up well before you squeeze some out otherwise it will come out separated. After shaking well, when you squeeze it out, it comes out feeling very light.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdgDPq361IxApFpEz_O3aI8aju4tEbZ-e7Mqtu6p1kLGyXcoI9eleO8s-N7fuNcBVvX6RmBV76MABV-wiP70nNxIT5kYwGfr7AAic-81zu6ux-5hgnMe9Bour7MNfutEzc8gpyN5-CMw/s1600/1368496855230" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdgDPq361IxApFpEz_O3aI8aju4tEbZ-e7Mqtu6p1kLGyXcoI9eleO8s-N7fuNcBVvX6RmBV76MABV-wiP70nNxIT5kYwGfr7AAic-81zu6ux-5hgnMe9Bour7MNfutEzc8gpyN5-CMw/s400/1368496855230" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I apply this to my face using my fingers. I prefer applying foundation with my fingers as it blends better than brushes and uses up less product. More often than not, brushes eat up some of the product and for that reason I'll use brushes only when I need a truly flawless application. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The coverage is light to medium. It serves well for those who have blemishes that are fading and need minimal coverage. It is buildable to the point that you can cover slightly darker blemishes, but I would just use concealer instead. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It doesn't look cake-y - even when another thin layer is applied and is wonderfully light on the face. I use this almost everyday - even more than my BB creams. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I would repurchase this when I finish this bottle, but I have other foundations I'm interested in trying!</div>

Our initial plans were to have hot pot but due to miscommunications with the restaurant, we couldn't get a table large enough. So four of us left to eat something else (not to mention it was quite a warm evening!).<br />
<br />
We settled for Japanese food. We wanted to try Sushi Hotaru since quite a number of my friends have raved about it, but the line was way too long!<br />
<br />
Kaneda Japanese Restaurant was close by and I had yet to try it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Kaneda is located in the CBD in the Mid City Arcade on Bourke St. It's quite a small restaurant but it wasn't very busy when we arrived (~7:30 pm). The interior is lovely - plenty of Japanese deco.<br />

<br />
Yukke is a personal favourite of mine. For those of you who don't frequent Japanese food, it's raw beef with raw egg yolk on top. The yukke at Kaneda is alright at best. It's not their best dish but it's not terrible either. I would probably skip it since there are places that have better yukke.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Kaneda Deluxe platter comes with about 15 slices of sashimi, california rolls, maki rolls (shown in the photo below) as well as nigiri sushi. It's priced at $38 which is about what you'd expect for a platter this size. There isn't much to complain about this - the fish was good, presentation was excellent. The only bad thing is that it comes with only one of each of the nigiri types - which may make it a little difficult to share, but we managed fine. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF0sM0gdV-mdeyOrZgwYtZPFQJI8T1_edD27WcPRX7c83I8ICITw4FElxL5pzi6jl4zDfV1h1YFEKhQMiw-EA54invsa88VIlz9oYPtpqZOh5clyl05GVjTBt8xyOFUfEnYCJ86ZRW-Q/s1600/20130511195245913" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF0sM0gdV-mdeyOrZgwYtZPFQJI8T1_edD27WcPRX7c83I8ICITw4FElxL5pzi6jl4zDfV1h1YFEKhQMiw-EA54invsa88VIlz9oYPtpqZOh5clyl05GVjTBt8xyOFUfEnYCJ86ZRW-Q/s320/20130511195245913" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Some other things we ordered were sukiyaki (not pictured) and soft shelled crab (pictured above). The boys enjoyed their individual mains so don't hesitate to order their hot dishes!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Service was good - not excellent, but about what you'd expect from an Asian restaurant. Food comes out at a reasonable pace. We left quite satisfied! My share for dinner came to about $22 - including green tea and the Japanese marble drink - so it was pretty okay priced too. They do have lunch specials I believe (from what I've seen of the menu).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you're in Melbourne, definitely check this place out!</div>

<br />
Every time I die in League of Legends, I have to do 5 squats. Sounds pretty easy no?<br />
<br />
Well, when you're a person who plays about 3-5 games per night, dying about 10 times in really bad games, it all adds up.<br />
<br />
It's day 5 and my thighs and bum are permanently sore it seems. I had to do 200+ squats on Day 3 (Day 2 and 3 quota combined.)<br />
<br />
T thinks I won't last a week and a half (about 10 days). Well, I'm halfway through those 10 days. I'll get there and beyond.Ponyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10757062005907879996noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3969320621963612096.post-24902932723988266062013-02-28T18:39:00.000+11:002013-02-28T18:39:04.729+11:00Chanel Les 4 Ombres 39 Raffinement Review<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
While I was travelling, I picked up a few goodies at the airport (Duty free!). If you're travelling through or to Singapore, definitely have a look at the cosmetics. Changi Airport offers many brands and is a lot cheaper than Australian prices. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've had my eye on this quad since it came out in the Printemps Precieux de Chanel Spring 2013 Makeup Collection. I myself, now have a tiny collection of Chanel makeup. I do want to pick up a blush at least from Chanel, but that's later on down the road.</div>

<span style="text-align: center;">The lightest color ( top right ) is a light shell color with warm undertones. It has a frosted sheen finish. I like using this for the inner third/inner corner of my eye. It's not too light as to draw too much attention which I like. </span><br />
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: center;">The top left color is a medium brown with very fine glitter. Has a slight purple hint to it, but its not too noticeable. </span><br />
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: center;">Bottom left is a bronze shadow, and similarly to the top right colour, it also has a frosted sheen. Of all the shades in this quad, the colour payoff is the best. Highly pigmented yet not too frosty. </span><br />
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: center;">Bottom right is a matte dark chocolate shadow. Nothing particularly special about it, just your standard dark brown shadow.</span><br />
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: center;">The palette as a whole has a mauve undertone to it.</span><br />
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>THE EYESHADOWS</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
With Chanel products in particular, there are regional differences. In Asia, Chanel eyeshadows tend to come in a baked shadow format, while in the US the eyeshadows are the standard pressed eyeshadows and are much softer in texture. Given this, the Asia region style shadows are still pigmented and relatively soft.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyone who has used baked eyeshadows would know that they tend to be hard and more difficult to pick up with a brush. However, the Raffinement quad doesn't pose that kind of challenge. I imagine the US region style to be a lot softer though. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've had bad experiences with baked eyeshadows - with pigmentation and the way they're used up. Sometimes after using them for a while, it becomes more difficult to pick up with the brush. Sponge applicators work well if you're finding that brushes won't cut it. The sponge applicators that was provided in this palette felt cheap though. I feel that the Dior 5 Couleurs have excellent sponge applicators and that these Chanel ones just don't compare. They are better than the drugstrore ones though. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I think it's a lovely quad and worth the pretty penny you pay for Chanel. However, it's not a must have. If you already have good quality neutral eyeshadows then you can probably skip this. If you're like me, and you don't like to go into half a dozen palettes to do your eye makeup, then this is a good quad to buy. It's also a nice quad if you're looking into buying your first high end designer palette. </div>

More 5AM adventures with the boys.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Also met up with more friends during the week - for Laser tag at Sidetracked, a Melbourne Runners meetup as well as more movies.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Very social week, despite how empty my Filofax looks. I kinda want to fill it up more, but it might get too crowded. Plus I don't want to use messy hand writing in my Filofax. I probably will have to though.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This week.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm finally back in Melbourne! After 24 hours of travelling, I finally made it home. With some duty free in hand. If you're Australian, and you're stopping at Singapore - check out their luxury cosmetics. It's a hell lot cheaper than it is in Australia.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This week, I've moved into my new Compact Osterley! It's beautiful, I love it. The day after I arrived home, my mum took me to the Buddhist temple. Apparently it's a bad year for those born under the Monkey zodiac. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Valentine's Day was a non-event for me. It's a pretty depressing day every year. As much as I say that I don't like receiving flowers, I would like to receive roses just once in my life. Not even a whole bouquet, a single rose is fine too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Oh boy, Friday. I enquired at work about whether or not there's possibilities of me returning before meeting up with my friends. My bros! After badminton, we went and watched Django Unleashed. My friends were all warning me about it being a Tarantino film, that maybe I shouldn't watch it. But I was insistent. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was a good film, but I covered my eyes when blood was flying everywhere and body parts were shot in the most painful way possible. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That night ... well, you can refer to my last post for that.</div>

<br /></div>
Last night, I saw my friends again for the first time in 3 months. They're my closest friends, my bros. We've kept in contact over Skype, but it not quite like seeing them in person.<br />
<br />
We did our usual Friday hang out - badminton followed by food, movie and pool.<br />
<br />
I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends. Friends that truly do care for me, friends that go out of their way for me. Friends that make me feel like I'm almost half decent.<br />
<br />
These are the kind of friends I will never ever let go of. They're the friends that inspire me to be a better character and in turn, a better friend.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
From the bottom of my heart, I'm truly thankful. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You know who you are. </div>

I didn't do very much that week since all I was doing was studying and gaming and napping. It sounds boring, but it's actually my ideal way of spending time.<br />
<br />
It makes me sound like such a no-life geeky moron, but in all honesty, gaming is one of my biggest interests in my life. Ever since I was about four or five years old, I've been playing games. From basic dress up games (which I played for hours funnily enough) to strategy games to MMORPGs (which are my favourites), it's been a constant presence in my life.<br />
<br />
I was never an extremely social person. I didn't know how to interact with people and I'm just awkward in general. Gaming was the one way I could escape the reality where I lost friends and was bullied almost constantly. I never had it as bad as some people did, but it did make me feel crappy and alone.<br />
<br />
Online, people didn't judge you by your appearance, your background or anything else. They judged you by your actions and behaviour. And besides, gaming was a fun and engaging way to kill time on the weekend instead of mindlessly watching television.<br />
<br />
So needless to say, gaming was my solace in my childhood and still is to this day. I'm lucky that my friends all like gaming so I'm never really lonely anymore - even when online.<br />
<br />

So, to the post that you're all interested in, last week's Filofax pages.<br />
<br />
It's the 2nd last week of the Winter semester here at SNU and of my time here in Seoul, Korea. So I've got a lot on my plate with packing, study and last minute shopping.<br />
<br />
Next week will be more interesting. Most probably.Ponyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10757062005907879996noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3969320621963612096.post-12364822911378995932013-01-26T21:02:00.002+11:002013-01-26T21:02:23.423+11:00Chanel Le Blanc Fond de Teint Compact Review
<br />
<div class="p1">
Being in Korea, I'm able to access some really great cosmetics - from Korean street brands to high end designer. From even before I came to Korea, there was one thing that I knew I absolutely had to get - the Chanel Le Blanc Fond de Teint Compact Powder Foundation. </div>
<div class="p1">

<span style="text-align: center;">I had first heard of this foundation from Catalina from </span><a href="http://cl2425.com/" style="text-align: center;">CL2425</a><span style="text-align: center;"> (who is one of my favourite beauty bloggers!). It's an Asia-exclusive foundation. The foundation shades are more catered toward Asian skin tones and there are a vary range of shades for Asians. If you are more tan, then you may not be able to find the right shade. </span><br />

The trouble I find when looking for foundation is that often I'll be in between shades. Even when at a department store, it's really hard to find a shade that matches me. While they have a broad spectrum of colours, they offer very little in between colours. </div>
<div class="p2">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
I often use a shade that's a bit lighter just because my chest is a bit lighter. My neck is a little darker - from shadows and a skin condition I had as a child, so I'm not too concerned with my face matching my neck. Therefore, I purchased B20 Beige. </div>

The powder gives a matte finish and it stays looking for a few hours, even with my oily skin. I don't expect powders to last very long on me, to be honest. I use a sponge to apply this rather than a brush. I find that while the brush gives a lighter coverage, it doesn't achieve the effect I want when I use it as a foundation. I use a brush to apply this when I want to use it as a setting powder. </div>

The powder isn't chunky at all which is great. It doesn't give a cake-y look even when you use the sponge to apply it. I like to use it on top of my BB Cream. On Monday, I ate at another Korean BBQ buffet with Jade. The place is called 'Meating' which I think is the cutest name for a Korean BBQ restaurant. You're <i>meeting</i> with a friend to <i>eat meat.</i><br />

Tuesday was a day I had to myself. I went to 홍대 to explore it on my own. That was also the day I was late to class - by an hour! I was so frantic in the morning that I even forgot my homework!<br />
<br />
Strawberries are normally ridiculously expensive in Korea. However, recently they've been reduced to half their price! I couldn't resist and bought a box. I had to eat them pretty quickly though (so much sugar!) but so worth it! I've been missing summer fruits.<br />
<br />
Thursday saw a trip to 명동 with my friend Andy. He was pretty set on getting a pair of skinny jeans, as he's never owned any (!). This time of year in Korea, there are huge sales! Up to 50% ~ 70% off. I picked up a knitted cardigan that I had my eye on since the start of this trip for half price. It wasn't as flattering as I had hoped - but that's only because of my misunderstanding of my body.<br />
<br />
My STYLENANDA package arrived on Friday, and I immediately used the nail polish that I ordered. It's a beautiful grey-blue colour. I'm seriously considering buying more - as backups, but I don't want to ship it back and who knows if I'll fall out of love with the color by the time I finish with it.<br />
<br />
The weekends for me, are pure laziness. Overindulging on eggs and just gaming and sleeping my way through the weekend.Ponyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10757062005907879996noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3969320621963612096.post-58932683273250106132013-01-18T00:55:00.002+11:002013-01-18T00:55:33.715+11:00Review: STYLENANDA - Lip Color #501 Bella<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
I recently paid a trip to the STYLENANDA store in Hongdae. I've been interested in Stylenanda's cosmetics line for a while now and only just managed to go to the store and see. </div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">

<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<b>COMPANY HISTORY</b></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
STYLENANDA started in 2004, selling only clothes. The name STYLENANDA roughly translated means "My Style". It quickly established itself as a favourite brand among women. Since STYLENANDA began, it has won awards from various websites and received the "The Best Fashion/Clothing Award" by Web Award Korea in 2009. In the same year, they launched their own cosmetic line - 3 CONCEPT EYES.</div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
Current models for STYLENANDA include Park Sora and Kwon Su Jeong.</div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
I've purchased a number of things from the 3 CONCEPT EYES line, but I'll review the other items at a later date. </div>

<b>THE LIPSTICK - LIP COLOR #501 BELLA</b></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
Before I went to their Flagship store in Hongdae, I had a look at their website for what items I wanted to purchase. The one item that caught my eye immediately was the Lip Color #501 Bella. </div>

<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
Bella extremely different from any other lipstick offered by STYLENANDA. </div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">

<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
Description on the site: "This Vampire Burgundy Color transforms dull makeup into a unique and chic makeup."</div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
This lipstick certainly is vampire-esque. It follows the vamp-lip trend that has been really popular in the last year or so in terms of winter colours. The colour of the stick may be off putting, but as a rule with any lipstick - never judge a lipstick by the colour of the stick! More often than not, a lipstick will look different on your lips as opposed to the stick and even the swatch on your hand. </div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source: <a href="http://en.stylenanda.com/">Stylenanda</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
I have a yellow undertone to my skin that's quite noticeable. Hence, I can't wear many pink or peach lipsticks well. In fact, any bright colours don't suit my skin tone well. I find that wearing darker lipsticks more favourable and to look better on me than a pale lipstick. in fact, the lightest lipstick that I wear on a regular basis is my Chanel Coco Rouge in 05 Mademoiselle. </div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<b>APPLICATION</b></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
I like to apply this lipstick with a lip brush. I feel like with any darker coloured lipstick, using a lip brush is a must. Not only does it spread the colour more evenly on your lips, but it can help you achieve a more defined lip and make your makeup look more polished. After applying an initial layer, if I want it to be more pigmented, I'll apply the lipstick straight onto my lips in small strokes and then use the lip brush again to spread it more. The lipstick itself is creamy and it's fine if you just want to apply straight onto your lips.</div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
The finish is slightly glossy but it dries fairly quickly to an almost matte texture. This also means that the lipstick can feel a bit drying, It has no sparkles or shimmer of any sort, so it doesn't define how dry your lips would like a shimmery lipstick would. There's an easy solution of just wearing lip balm before or after applying. </div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
After eating and drinking, this lipstick leaves a lovely burgundy stain on your lips. So while the initial effect is gone, you're left with stained lips and it looks very nice. </div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
This lipstick is a lipstick that I like to wear when I want a bold lip look. It doesn't look overdone - like some bright lipsticks can look. I wear this on a semi-regular basis.</div>

<b>WHERE TO PURCHASE</b></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
In Korea, there is the STYLENANDA flagship store in Hongdae and the makeup counter in the Myeongdong Young Plaza. However, in order to obtain in if you live overseas, then you can buy it from the <a href="http://en.stylenanda.com/">STYLENANDA</a> website. They ship worldwide for a small fee. </div>

</div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
Having invested in a Filofax late last year, I've decided to participate in Angela of <a href="http://www.paperlovestory.com/">Paperlovestory</a>'s 'My Filofax Week'.</div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
My Filofax week started out as an exclusive series of posts by Angela, who would take a picture of her Filofax week and post it. It's become so popular among Filofax aficionados that she's hosting it on her blog. </div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
Since I'm two weeks into 2013, I'm posting up two weeks worth of Filofax pages. </div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
My Filofax pages are a lot emptier since I'm using another diary to record the homework I have to do. I've discovered that with the workload that comes with university, that the Filofax days just don't accommodate well. </div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
The Filofax I currently own is the Metropol personal in Raspberry. At the time I bought it, I was eyeing the Filofax ranges and it so happened that there was a sale on the Metropol. I managed to snag it for about $35 AUD! The problem I have with this particular Filofax is that it doesn't lie flat. The fake leather just doesn't accommodate. </div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
My Filofax is extremely empty. I only have about 4 months of 'Week on Two Page' diary and about 10-15 other pages. </div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
I have another Filofax on the way - the Compact Osterley. It was previously owned by Angela, but she decided to put it up for sale. I was lucky enough to purchase it from her. It's currently sitting at home. In Melbourne, so I'll have to wait till I get back home in order to actually get my hands on it.</div>
<div class="p2" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
I'm a person who can't remember things in a chronological way. I often forget the order in which I've done things, much less which days I do things. I keep a blog and Filofax for this reason. I also need to write things down because it feels like all my thoughts gather in my head and I feel all cluttered and dizzy. </div>
<div class="p1" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

Being in Korea, there is little excuse not to explore the stationery options that stores provide. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Personally, I absolutely hate the stationery you can get in Australia. The Western idea of "cute" is a far cry from what Asians consider "cute". Western style stationery usually comes in a variety of bright garish colours that attempt to blind you as you pull them out of your bag. The paper quality of these colourful notebooks are abysmal - they're grainy and thin. Also anything that is absolutely adorable is extremely overpriced (I'm looking at you, Kikki.K).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So imagine my delight when I come to Korea and cute, affordable stationery is everywhere!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>ARTBOX & MORNING GLORY</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I loved these two stores when I was young. There used to be one of each of these stores in Box Hill in Melbourne, but their products were so expensive! Due to their price point, they eventually closed down (Morning Glory about 6-7 years ago, and Artbox in 2012). However, they are still very popular in Korea. Their products are still a little bit more expensive than the Alpha Office stores but the things they sell are so cute!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Credit: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/miss-loi/5210322393/">Miss Loi</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Artbox in Korea sells a variety of things from cosmetics, home products, clothes to stationery. Morning Glory on the other hand has fewer selections but has more Rilakkuma and Hello Kitty merchandise. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
At Artbox, I found Moleskine note books! I wanted a plain notebook because I want to improve my artistic skills. However, Moleskines are expensive and I couldn't really justify paying that price. Fortunately, I found something better!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A brand called Mimesis makes notebooks and how it works is that you choose the cover you want - colour and size - and choose the type of notebook you want inside. There are lined notebooks, plain and also diary type monthly notebooks. The paper is on the thinner side, but it's so smooth. </div>

Artbox also sells a variety of letter sets. I think they're completely adorable and plan on picking up a few to send back home. I love letters, especially love letters. I want to write a love letter for somebody this year!</div>

At Morning Glory, I couldn't resist the temptation of these Rilakkuma Stamps! They really brought me back to my childhood. I used to own a Hello Kitty stamp kit and I loved it to pieces. Mind you, I never had such a huge selection - and I only had four! So to have this stamp kit brings out the child in me.</div>

<b>PENS</b></div>

I love pens. I love colour. So it should be no surprise that I have since bought what I can only call a generous supply of pens since arriving in Seoul. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My primary goal was to buy Muji Pens. I think the packaging of these pens are so sleek and they don't look childish. I have a thing for having sets of pens so that they match in my pencil case. I don't like to buy individual pens when you can buy them in a set. </div>

They are the base makeup that most Korean girls choose to use and the secret to their flawless, porcelain skin.<br />
<br />
<b>ORIGINS</b><br />
BB Creams originated from Germany - as a way to protect patient's skin after surgery. It was then introduced into Korea and Japan in 1985 and since then, the Koreans have developed BB Cream to the point that it's one of the most well known products associated with Asian cosmetics.<br />
Its popularity has risen to the point that now even Western cosmetic companies are developing their own BB Creams for the Western market.<br />
<br />
<b>WHAT IS BB CREAM?</b><br />
BB Cream is considered an all-in-one base product. It contains properties of certain skin care - serum, moisturiser - and properties of base makeup - primer, foundation and sunblock.<br />
<br />
BB Creams made by Korean cosmetic companies often have many other properties bundled into the creams such as whitening, anti-ageing and anti-darkening.<br />
<br />
<b>HOW DO I USE BB CREAM?</b><br />
BB Cream can be used to replace your everyday foundation or tinted moisturiser. It is best applied with the fingers since they warm up the product and makes the application extremely smooth as opposed to using a brush. After spreading it evenly on your face, you should pat your face gently to help smooth and fill in any fine lines you may have missed. Pressing your hand on your face helps the BB cream to smooth down on your face better too.<br />

<b>MISSHA M SIGNATURE REAL COMPLETE BB CREAM</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
Missha's BB Creams were one of those who brought immense popularity to BB Creams - especially to the Western Asian market (Asians who reside in Western countries). Many may be familiar with the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream - the one that comes in the red tube. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In response to the popularity of this BB Cream, they released another BB Cream - M Signature Real Complete BB Cream. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhflLlVCYmMQ8P2IXb6Xk8bpsF9GV-Fjup5PORj-IBbTpk9tmjKWyep7EHJgJn-VYIuCVMyzOkf8rFlHm0EwQhIatSANs24rOic0uASjQtU_qpMHpQzLgW_dkzq3f2edKY3cDLvUIutcg/s1600/MSMS1163_b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhflLlVCYmMQ8P2IXb6Xk8bpsF9GV-Fjup5PORj-IBbTpk9tmjKWyep7EHJgJn-VYIuCVMyzOkf8rFlHm0EwQhIatSANs24rOic0uASjQtU_qpMHpQzLgW_dkzq3f2edKY3cDLvUIutcg/s1600/MSMS1163_b.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I own shade No. 23 which is also the shade I have for the Perfect Cover BB Cream. Of the three I'm reviewing, this matches my skin tone best (comparison swatches on my hand are at the end of the post). It has a slight grey tint, but like all BB Creams, it oxides after a couple of minutes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On application, it covers all my blemishes to the point I don't need concealer. However, that does not mean that you can't see my blemishes and flaws. This BB cream - like the Perfect Cover - has just the right amount of coverage so that I'm happy with how minimal my blemishes seem. It smooths out my skin around my nose and cheeks too. It looks excellent when applied.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The finish is dewy and luminous - a very popular look these days. It does not look greasy at all. If you don't like that look, then you can always use a powder which can also prolong wear. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
However, this BB Cream breaks down the fastest of the three. I do get a decent amount of wear out of it, just not as long as the others. The shade range is also very limited. No. 23 is still a tad too light for my skin. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Compared to the Perfect Cover BB Cream, this one is thinner but only slightly. And like all BB Creams, this one does have SPF 25 so it's not ideal for flash photography. However, I dislike flash photography with a passion. Unless I'm in a really dark place, I won't use flash photography.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>ETUDE HOUSE PRECIOUS MINERAL BB CREAM </b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Etude House is another popular street brand cosmetic store. Their concept is very girly, princess-like. Their latest collection features Marie Antoinette inspired packaging (which looks totally gorgeous, but a little pricey for street brand cosmetics). Previous faces of Etude House include Park Shinhye, Jang Geunsuk and Lee Minho. Currently Sandara Park and Shinee are their models.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The shade I have is No. 3 Natural Beige. It's more yellow toned than the M Signature BB Cream. It's lighter in shade and texture than the Missha. Because of this, it also has less coverage. If my under eye circles are dark, I'll use a concealer too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It lasts a decent amount of time but I usually like to use a powder on top ( Chanel Le Blanc Fond de Teint Compact) for more long lasting wear. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This BB Cream offers four shades as opposed to Missha's two, which is a plus, however in terms of darker shades, there is only one. So the range isn't that huge, but it's better than nothing. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The finish is slightly glossy as opposed to dewy. The difference isn't huge, but it's there.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<b>SKIN79 SUPER BEBLESH BALM BB CREAM</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
This Skin79 BB Cream is the most popular in their line. This product caused the second 'hype wave' for BB Creams in the community - especially on YouTube. It received very good reviews from most people.<br />
Originally, I was going to purchase this toward the end of my trip to bring back home, but there was a store in 이대 ( Edae ) that offered this for much cheaper than its retail price. I purchased it then and was so curious that I opened it.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This BB Cream only comes in one shade. It is the lightest of the three BB Creams and also the thickest. It does oxidise after a few minutes but my face is still significantly lighter than my neck. The shade is slightly more pink too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I don't think the coverage is as nice as the Missha, but it is still very nice. The finish is lovely and it fills in any fine lines well. The pinkness actually gives me a really nice "glow" and I actually don't mind that the shade is too light. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I would not recommend this to anyone who is tanner/darker in skin tone. </div>

<b>OVERALL</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I think they're all very nice BB Creams. If you are able to access Korean BB Creams and they're not too light for you, I would strongly recommend them! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am not a fan of the Western BB Creams despite them having a wider shade range. I don't believe they do the job as well as Korean BB creams. Korean BB creams are constantly being improved as they are a staple in most Korean girls' makeup routines. In fact, the choices in foundations are extremely limited and not as popular. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I don't believe the Skin79 BB Cream deserves the level of hype it has received on YouTube. It's nice, sure. But if I were to choose one, I would pick either the Etude House or the Missha over the Skin79. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of the three, my favourite would have to be the Missha M Signature Real Complete BB Cream. The Etude House comes in at a close second. I would definitely repurchase them.</div>

I've been meaning to get my hair cut for a while now since I have a lot of split ends. I haven't been taking care of my hair very well - and never have. I only really bother with shampoo!<br />
<br />
Taking on the advice of Simon and Martina, I decided to pay a visit to Juno Hair. Thankfully they did have someone who spoke English there to consult our options.<br />
<br />
My purpose of visiting Juno Hair was simply to get my hair cut. However, something I've noticed about hair salons in Asia in particular, is that people don't just go into hair salons for a simple hair cut. Usually people go to get treatments done, their hair dyed and all the other time consuming hair procedures that these places offer.<br />
<br />
The hair stylist we talked to was pushy to say the least. While Brigritte and I both knew our hair was damaged, we weren't really there to get it treated. I personally don't like getting my hair treated at the salon for several reasons.<br />
<br />
{ 1 } I hate small talk. While my part time job sometimes does require to make small talk with customers, I've learnt a couple of lines I can use. However, I'm not comfortable talking to people who are serving me. I don't mean it in a snobbish way or anything, don't get me wrong. I just feel that I'm a boring person and I'm just awkward.<br />
{ 2 } I have little patience and a very short attention span. Sitting for a few hours at a salon with nothing to do but read or talk to the hair stylists and assistant hair stylists is not my idea of fun.<br />
{ 3 } They're expensive. At Juno they're especially expensive I feel. Although these feelings are unfair since I'm comparing across China, Australia and Korea rather than relative to Korea, it's not a sum of money I'm willing to pay.<br />
<br />
Hence I didn't want a treatment or dye. Brigritte wasn't interested in them either. When we told the stylist this, you could visibly see her mood change.<br />
<br />
And it affected the way she cut our hair.<br />
<br />
I came in with a photo for reference:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh67ml3mCKOL2Js75SE5Z49rhsqAjyOsPVLT4y0cJ9-AApCjCQCGrBrNUAkdrVsuPUp0fmUoksxDqTwyKfejdJQ5OicgqRG0GUr0D5Jxb9AVOCnwdoH1TvAQf556NPcKWv7u_6gBVknlw/s1600/88020_2_800x0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh67ml3mCKOL2Js75SE5Z49rhsqAjyOsPVLT4y0cJ9-AApCjCQCGrBrNUAkdrVsuPUp0fmUoksxDqTwyKfejdJQ5OicgqRG0GUr0D5Jxb9AVOCnwdoH1TvAQf556NPcKWv7u_6gBVknlw/s320/88020_2_800x0.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
However the photo wasn't for an exact reference. I wanted an example of the style I wanted - longer layers instead of short, and thinned out under layers.<br />
<br />
Due to the fact that she said all this, I assumed that she was going to cut my hair the way I wanted it.<br />
<br />
Boy was I wrong.<br />
<br />
I think she spent a total of 10 minutes cutting my hair before calling over an assistant hair stylist to blow dry my hair. She trimmed my hair by running her scissors across horizontally and "evened" out the ends by shearing a few sections of hair. She didn't touch my overgrown fringe whatsoever or the top few layers of my hair.<br />
<br />
The result reminds me of Rachel's hair in Season 3 of Friends. Even I could cut my hair like this, if not even better.<br />
<br />
While the hair stylist herself was less than professional to say the least, everyone else who served me was completely lovely. The assistant who washed my hair attempted to make small talk with me which was extremely sweet and was very patient with my beginner Korean. The girl who blow dried my hair didn't speak to me, but she did put quite a bit of effort into making the hair stylist's shabby hair cut as attractive as possible.<br />
<br />
I had specifically asked her to cut my hair a certain way, and in no way did she deliver. In my opinion, it was completely unacceptable from her service, skill and her attitude.<br />
<br />
However, it did only cost us 20,000 KRW (roughly $20 AUD) so I'll just treat it as a cheap haircut you get from a dodgy looking Asian hairdresser in Box Hill.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The Lesson? Either get your hair treated and have a hair cut as a side dish, or cut it yourself. I think this experience at the hair dresser is definitely the final nail in the coffin. I'll continue to cut my own hair from now on, thank you very much!Ponyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10757062005907879996noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3969320621963612096.post-19858542150843071822012-12-15T21:39:00.001+11:002013-01-26T21:03:05.867+11:00Cake Face<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Edae is a well known shopping district in Seoul. It's located near the Ewha Women's University. It's close by Hongdae and Sinchon (which are also other shopping districts). However, the charm of Edae is how cheap everything is. The clothes are mostly aimed at female students, but you can also find some male clothes too. </div>

You can find some really great bargains here! I bought 2 tops for 15,000 KRW, 2 pairs of leggings (which are super warm!) for 20,000 KRW and these boots for 42,000 KRW. Bags here are also super cheap. The quality isn't that great, but it isn't falling apart or anything. </div>

I did end up going back again to buy another pair of boots because I can't walk on the ice and snow too well with these. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>My Tips~</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: left;">Don't pay more than about 30,000 KRW for any one piece of clothing (unless it's a coat). Things go for extremely cheap and you can find really great pieces for about 5,000-20,000 KRW.</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">When shopping for shoes, know exactly what you want to buy! Shop keepers won't like it if you keep trying on different pairs of shoes because the more you try, the more they think you'll buy something. </li>
<li style="text-align: left;">If you're confident with bargaining, then do so! I'm pretty terrible with bargaining because it makes me feel bad, but some people are really great.</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">You cannot bargain however, if the price is already marked on the shoe. Usually it'll be on sale items. </li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Don't ever pay more than 55,000 KRW for shoes! Especially if they're a ankle boot or something like that. </li>
<li style="text-align: left;">If you see something you like, then buy it! There's no real point shopping around for the cheapest price because they're all around the same price anyway! Sometimes its a few thousand KRW difference only. </li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNsa7_JsBQW4qGy2NPlGP8-QXRSO9GXn-05H63AOKeZzmgjcsQcgH0jKls4yG4vhRl-gjp1ICQ2VgFH4jZiw5oReMvTeDot9lHm_amF9IqYJqQqn8GuucrEYBJ0ss8RIQAvodwRl0yGA/s1600/20121206152244" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNsa7_JsBQW4qGy2NPlGP8-QXRSO9GXn-05H63AOKeZzmgjcsQcgH0jKls4yG4vhRl-gjp1ICQ2VgFH4jZiw5oReMvTeDot9lHm_amF9IqYJqQqn8GuucrEYBJ0ss8RIQAvodwRl0yGA/s320/20121206152244" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Finally tried potato twirls! Because of how cold it was outside, my potato twirl was pretty much cold within the first 10 seconds of buying it. </div>

My trip is probably going to consist of food. Nonetheless, it's an adventure trying to find good food, cheap food, bad food, cute food...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Yesterday, classes started officially. I'm in the beginner's class since my language foundation is really weak. I wanted to really consolidate it. I mean, how can you improve upwards when your foundations are weak?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But anyway, since it was raining and snowing (!) yesterday, the 6 of us decided against finding the school cafeteria and instead, taxi-ed it down to our subway station. We went to the nearby department store for lunch. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The best thing about Korea is how incredibly cheap food is. You don't have to always eat cheap food - as some nice things are a little bit more expensive (but it's still about the same price as lunch in Melbourne). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This set here was 5,500KRW (about $5.50 AUD). It was extremely filling! I'm trying to make a habit out of eating everything - including the kimchi - because I have a really terrible habit of half eating things when I'm out. Besides, the more I eat at meals, the longer I can wait before eating my next meal. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Later, I met up with Tony so we could eat 곱창 ( gopchang ) or 막창 ( makchang ). The difference between the two is that gopchang is the small intestines of either pork or beef while makchang is the large intestines. Both equally delicious. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm pretty nonchalant when eating things like this. The guts are fine with me. However, the one thing I can't really eat are feet - chicken feet, pig trotters... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anyway, we found 리쌍's ( Leessang ) makchang restaurant. </div>

<br />
The decor is wall graffiti (which I think is quite cool) and the staff were really friendly.<br />
<br />
So how do you get there?<br />
<br />
The subway station you want is 건대입구역 or Konkuk University Station. It's fairly close by to the station, so just walk toward the bright lights of the restaurants and look out for the Leessang poster.<br />

Today was shopping day. I met up with Tony to start our day. </div>

Tony really likes these vitamin drinks. So he bought one for me...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our first stop for the day was 홍대 ( Hongdae ). Hongdae's feel is very indie and urban. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around but most open after around 2pm. There are also many little clothing stores that have clothing for cheap. I believe Haha and Gary's restaurants are around too.</div>

Our shopping haul... Not all of it was mine, but I did manage to get most of my shopping done. I'm not the type to take it slow on a trip and get my shopping done bits and pieces at a time. I either do all my shopping or none at all.</div>
<br />
이태원 ( Itaewon ) was our next stop. Itaewon is known as the foreign town of Seoul. There are many foreign restaurants around. It's popular with a lot of tourist and hence, many of the shop assistants and owners speak a little bit more English than anywhere else.<br />

Another day of doing tourist-esque things. Today, the 6 of us took an excursion to 동대문 and explored the Doota 백화점. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about photos... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Doota Department Store is 9 floors (including one basement floor). For clothing for young adults at reasonable prices, you want B1 and 2F. I did end up buying two items of clothing. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This sweater/top caught my eye on the sale rack. It has two holes in the shoulder area (which you can't see in the photo...) which is the main reason why I bought it. It was super cheap at 12,000 KRW (about $12 AUD). </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been really liking vests for the winter season and I really wanted one. This one is quite a long one and it has two pockets and a hood. I'll take a better photo featuring it later on. Again, quite cheap at 20,000 KRW (about $20 AUD).</div>
<br />
I met up with my friend Tony and we ate near his hotel, close to COEX (?).<br />
<br />

This is what I hauled tonight. I know I'm buying a lot of things it seems, but I won't be in the mood to buy anything once classes start. I'm going to focus on studying. I prefer to buy all the things I need at the very start, rather than pick up bits and pieces on the way. I have a good idea of the things that I want to buy so I'm not exactly impulse purchasing.</div>

Today the 6 of us went to 명동 (Myeongdong) which is one of the popular shopping districts of Seoul. It is absolutely littered with makeup stores, clothing stores etc and it's very much directed at the younger generation. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I didn't take that many pictures today because I do plan on going back again (possibly tomorrow?) at night time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibukP5_Zcf1wk8QIRHid0FPz_xTMOgcepuAmT_1dLWoDdEfrYEDbcVce67-UrmoNc-CcYtuZTGFziJK4Pa4b6ybFhLPdyO5TJSH0W_61MYKhd9eBhfpFnwm9rD9GDtbMZ8b4q2izHLuQ/s1600/DSC00673.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibukP5_Zcf1wk8QIRHid0FPz_xTMOgcepuAmT_1dLWoDdEfrYEDbcVce67-UrmoNc-CcYtuZTGFziJK4Pa4b6ybFhLPdyO5TJSH0W_61MYKhd9eBhfpFnwm9rD9GDtbMZ8b4q2izHLuQ/s320/DSC00673.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Many of the people who work at Myeongdong speak both Korean and Japanese. Some stores (especially skincare/makeup stores) will even have staff who speak Chinese. The restaurant we went to had a Japanese worker so Saaya and Andy were able to converse with him freely. We even managed to get a small discount off our bill.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNRL0MPFG83IBKTp71H5D2uwSSgiiTdahC4Xva25ZDD-2vdjufyFlTUmn92pImdODVLSCEfAFlpdgfxKe8XMlJ7dOFs6kqt3vSKhwtxKVew-29P95s53F26WAe42oXzBTo7p1bUS-Raw/s1600/DSC00675.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNRL0MPFG83IBKTp71H5D2uwSSgiiTdahC4Xva25ZDD-2vdjufyFlTUmn92pImdODVLSCEfAFlpdgfxKe8XMlJ7dOFs6kqt3vSKhwtxKVew-29P95s53F26WAe42oXzBTo7p1bUS-Raw/s320/DSC00675.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The store I was most interested in (aside from the makeup stores) was the SPAO store. Their clothes seem quite nice - good quality and reasonably priced. I may go back and pick up a few things. And also SM Entertainment's Everysing. SPAO is endorsed heavily by SM artists and the top floor sells SM Artist merchandise. It was interesting rifling through it all, but I wouldn't buy anything there. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm not a fan merchandise buying type of person. I think it's tacky when people pull out folders etc with celebrity faces.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For dinner, Q and I ate at the station's little Japanese style restaurant. It's super cheap and it's not bad! </div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We went to a nearby market to buy some fruit because we haven't had any fruit since we've arrived. Fruit can be really expensive here and there isn't a lot of variety. We got something like 25 mandarins for 2000KRW (about $2AUD).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my current adaptor set up. The adaptor won't fit into the socket properly, so until I can find either a power board or an adaptor that fits, this is how I'm charging my devices.</div>

My haul from today was mostly skincare. I was in Aritaum because I was interested in their eyeshadow. There was a specific one I wanted: Golden Khaki.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I remember cl2425 talking about it in one of her Korean haul videos so I wanted to try it out for myself. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There was a buy one get one free event. When the sales assistant told me about it, I looked at her blankly because I didn't understand her. It hit Q after a little bit and I picked up a brown eyeshadow too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also picked up a few Laneige products. There was a promotion going on - spend 100,000KRW or more and receive 20% off. </div>

I was determined to pick up a new skincare routine, so I settled with these products. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
L-R: Multiberry Yogurt Pack, White Plus Renew Essence, Light Power Essential Skin Refiner and Multi Cleanser. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I plan on picking up a few more skin care products but those can wait since I still have samples to use up.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also picked up a new planner from Artbox. They have a huge variety of planners, notebooks, accessories and other random things. I wanted to buy the whole store, but I controlled myself and bought only the planner. </div>

I'm in South Korea now! </h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I arrived yesterday at about 4:30pm (Korean Time). The reality of finally being in Korea hit me when I saw the Han River (한강) from the plane window. I haven't felt homesick yet. That reality hasn't struck me just yet. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>DAY 1</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It took Brigritte and I over an hour to get to Gwanak-gu (관악구) via the Airport Limousine bus. I suspect it's because of traffic. I think the best way to go anywhere from the airport is by subway. It isn't affected by traffic and it gets you into Seoul much quicker. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
With the help of Brigritte's friend, I settled into my accommodation. I'm staying at a Goshiwon (고시원). A Goshiwon is a type of accommodation that is fairly cheap. They offer single rooms and the rooms come with a desk, fridge and bed. Some come with private toilet/shower facilites, while others don't even have windows. The cheaper ones will not have private bathroom facilities in their rooms. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
I didn't want to share a bathroom with about 10-2<span style="font-family: inherit;">0 strangers over 10 weeks, so I found a Goshiwon that had a private bathroom. The rent is <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; line-height: 16px;">₩400,000 (which is roughly AUD$400) per month. I've found accommodation for 220,000 but they don't offer private bathrooms at all. Rent is charged per month (which is the minimum stay). </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is my tiny room. I don't have space to put my suitcase anywhere other than on the ground where the walking space is (this is mostly because my suitcase is massive). I may do a more detailed post about accommodation in Korea later; just leave a comment below if you're interested!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

Totoro slippers that were gifted from my friend John :) A little something to remind me of home.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Dinner, night 1 was at a kimbab restaurant. There are a lot of these types of restaurants around. They're cheap and they're not bad in terms of quality. It resembles home cooked food for me so I was quite happy with it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also got a T-money card. T-money card works very much like a Myki in Melbourne (you touch on and off when you're on public transport). However, it works so much better than Myki (which isn't hard since the Myki system is total rubbish). You can also use these in convenience stores and the like too. You can buy them from machines at subway stations or from convenience stores. It comes in a little box which I found totally adorable. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>DAY 2</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today was the day of the placement test. This determines which level program we should be doing. To be perfectly honest, my Korean skills are terrible so I wasn't expecting to make it to level 2. I find learning languages especially difficult for some reason. I've always been a fast learner and the fact that I found learning a language really difficult was discouraging. But I'm determined to do well and consolidate my (very) shaky foundation.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Before the test though, I went for breakfast at Paris Baguette. Paris Baguette is very much like Breadtop, Bread Kingdom and Hana Bakery in Melbourne. Paris Baguette is everywhere. My breakfast consisted of a Croque Monsieur (which is a French ham and cheese sandwich) and a latte. I didn't notice that the coffee isn't as rich as what I'm used to in Melbourne because of the sugar I put in it. They have a tendency to make the milk really hot for some reason.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjso-7qb4_JFyicoGcLOu_ENPOGM-DoRG2CXLszZdbQmPHiOPkXl86ug2mznCsAidWCsGuFSEl6VVeBxi1wsFu8_JEXJZ6neKZ1_B8klNRgtOtY2oZg5S6_qlzU7AixtDyB1rZaGuGrMA/s1600/DSC00658.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjso-7qb4_JFyicoGcLOu_ENPOGM-DoRG2CXLszZdbQmPHiOPkXl86ug2mznCsAidWCsGuFSEl6VVeBxi1wsFu8_JEXJZ6neKZ1_B8klNRgtOtY2oZg5S6_qlzU7AixtDyB1rZaGuGrMA/s320/DSC00658.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After the placement test, I went shopping for some homewares and stationery (which I will feature in a later post) and ate lunch - 자장면!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi40QHigbG2OkykSj6jS97hyJzeegaUjyzS5N985tDuLil2hzgdmCE78h6NC6T77G0toPJ1Xsy1fr2-2eKcQx4wJfoKTDb8R6H1-68lT4raUJcVuTMVRBkMXfm3XMPy62x-gNEZVsr0mg/s1600/DSC00661.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi40QHigbG2OkykSj6jS97hyJzeegaUjyzS5N985tDuLil2hzgdmCE78h6NC6T77G0toPJ1Xsy1fr2-2eKcQx4wJfoKTDb8R6H1-68lT4raUJcVuTMVRBkMXfm3XMPy62x-gNEZVsr0mg/s320/DSC00661.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
자장면 (jajangmyeon) is basically black bean sauce on top of noodles. It's derived from the Chinese 炸酱面 but it's a little different.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0-A1q4sV72ozj-oHHTdERWV9XSiECQm6_l_na1jbgF2dsfiz4tm7n_0tpkSTIAsyY6GLen3LfQDsh4QNLPLnrum_ds8M1fHcRjHh75AjwQJFmNXnNTiO5617HUGj3_-k1tUynRLFcxA/s1600/DSC00662.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0-A1q4sV72ozj-oHHTdERWV9XSiECQm6_l_na1jbgF2dsfiz4tm7n_0tpkSTIAsyY6GLen3LfQDsh4QNLPLnrum_ds8M1fHcRjHh75AjwQJFmNXnNTiO5617HUGj3_-k1tUynRLFcxA/s320/DSC00662.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
One of the more interesting finds at the convenience store. Peach iced tea in a bag! It's really sweet though, even more so than the Lipton/Nestea ones at home.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqbNf9HUs4A0p37na2dvj_r9WgWhJkkurtmhRGGeQmgMooFMGpMkFG1Dng7IeHnil410VDtY5H3evkFbs60RjGrfUc32zBsDIKNQ-Qz9RG-L_teN_yA8a6UF-wwnUZ_0E7HxyRpf8GTQ/s1600/DSC00669.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqbNf9HUs4A0p37na2dvj_r9WgWhJkkurtmhRGGeQmgMooFMGpMkFG1Dng7IeHnil410VDtY5H3evkFbs60RjGrfUc32zBsDIKNQ-Qz9RG-L_teN_yA8a6UF-wwnUZ_0E7HxyRpf8GTQ/s320/DSC00669.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Day 2 dinner was chicken from hell. We (the 6 of us that came from Melbourne) wanted to eat chicken. Passing by the KFC, we went to a chicken restaurant and ordered two of these. We didn't realise at the time how big the servings were. I think in general, the serving sizes in Korea are a lot bigger than what we expect them to be at the price that they are. At first glance, I saw all the chillies in the dish and doubted my ability to actually eat it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And I was right.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's like a tiny step down from Crazy Wings. My lips were prickling and burning. I couldn't stand it after eating about 2 pieces of chicken. Saaya and Brigritte steadily ate (spicy tanks!) and we managed to finish one plate as well as a third of the second plate. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I ended up getting some stuff from Paris Baguette for dinner. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
<b>STUDY</b><br />
Oh boy.<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Attend every single lecture and tutorial: <i>I have some discipline issues with this. A lot of the time I enjoy socialising too much to bring myself to actually get up and go to lectures. I guess this semester's attendance was a hell lot better than my first 3 semesters at uni. MUST. TRY. TO ATTEND. I need to bribe myself or something... </i></li>
<li>Study at the library: <i>This one might help me with the no. 1. I figure if I spend more time at the library instead of hanging out at uni, I'll be more inclined to attend lectures.</i></li>
</ol>
<div>
I tried to keep it brief. I think if I went with too many goals, it would overwhelm me and it would just end badly.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>MONEY</b></div>
<div>
I have an inability to save money. However, things have died down since I first started working. I don't want so many things anymore, which should help my cause.</div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>Computer parts: <i>I want to build a new desktop for myself, for gaming mostly. I don't want my Macbook Pro to be filled with movies and games that will just distract me from study.</i></li>
<li>Cosplay: <i>I'm going to PAX Melbourne (whoo!) and I really want to cosplay. I don't want to buy a cosplay costume.. I want to make it and materials can get pricey. </i></li>
<li>No Impulse Purchasing: <i>This is what most of my money goes to (next to food). I think I need to adopt the mantra from 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'.</i></li>
<li>Hong Kong: <i>I want to go to Hong Kong during the summer of 2013/2014 with my friend. So I definitely want to save up for that.</i></li>
<li>Use up all my makeup: <i>I don't need anymore makeup! I haven't hit pan on anything so I really want to use up at least one of each type of makeup product. </i></li>
</ol>
</div>
<div>
<b>RELATIONSHIPS</b></div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>Keeping Current Friends: <i>As enjoyable as meeting new people is, I think I really want to consolidate on my existing friendships. I'm not one to need a lot of friends, just a few close ones makes me just as happy if not more. </i></li>
<li>Boys: <i>I'm not going to hope for this one.</i></li>
</ol>
</div>
<div>
<b>HOBBIES</b></div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>Blogging:<i> I definitely want to try make more of an effort with this blog. I think I just need to find a style of blogging and things to blog about. My day to day life isn't too interesting to talk about. Next year, I want to switch my focus to gaming and maybe life tips that I've picked up?</i></li>
<li>Gaming:<i> I let this go while I was in high school. My parents were very strict on me until Year 12 and I didn't get much of a chance to really try new games and improve my skills at strategy and theorycraft. League of Legends is definitely the game I want to master ... or attempt to master. </i></li>
<li>Streaming: <i>This ties in with the last one. I kind of want to start this after I finish building my gaming computer.</i></li>
<li>Drawing: <i>I was never an excellent drawer, and I would really like to improve. </i></li>
<li>Piano: <i>I think I really want to get back to piano. Just, playing and not thinking.</i></li>
</ol>
</div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>MIND, BODY, SPIRIT</b></div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>Write down all my thoughts:<i> I bought a moleskin today and I plan to use it for errant, rampant thoughts. It will help me calm myself and not be so overruled by my emotions.</i></li>
<li>Swear less: <i>It'll help with rage.</i></li>
<li>Lots of exercise: <i>I want to lose 10-15kg by May next year which is definitely achievable in my opinion. Not only is this for my health and self esteem, it's for cosplay too.</i></li>
</ol>
<div>
I will add more if I can think of them.</div>

I haven't been buying any makeup products for the last few months since I've been trying to use up my current collection of makeup. I'm one to believe that there's no point in hoarding hundreds of makeup products because you only have one face and there's only so much makeup you can put on your face without it looking ridiculous. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hence, I'm going to share my favourites from my collection for Spring 2012.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<b>Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My first ever skin base product and it's still my favourite. The shade I currently use is No. 23 but it's a little light for my skin tone. Missha have recently released a new shade - No.27 - which I want to get my hands on, but I'm going to wait until I go to Korea to purchase it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For me, this BB cream covers my light blemishes fairly well and it doesn't result in my skin looking dry. Most foundations tend to make the skin around my nose look really dry, but this BB cream doesn't do this at all. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>Majolica Majorca Puff De Cheeks</b> - PK301<br />
I received this as a birthday gift. The packaging is so pretty! At first I didn't really like to use it as it was too light and didn't show up as much as my other blushes. I started using it again a few weeks ago, and it's perfect for spring. It is a subtle light coral pink shade and it gives the perfect flush for the doll face look.<br />
<br />
<b>Urban Decay Brow Box </b>- Brown Sugar<br />
I use the lighter shade exclusively on my brows since my eyebrows aren't that sparse to begin with.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>Too Faced Naked Eye Palette</b><br />
I enjoy this so much more than the Urban Decay Naked Eye Palette. While the UD Naked Eye Palette has a lot of pigment, I find it too showy and intense for my tastes. The Too Faced Naked Eye Palette comes with a matte black and more light colours which are wonderful for the spring.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler </b>- Limited Edition Gold</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love this! If you have trouble curling your lashes because the curler doesn't sit right against your eye, try the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. I haven't had it snag my eyelid yet!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>Urban Decay Primer Potion</b><br />
I have oily eyelids, so primer is a must for me. This is the only one I've tried, as it works very well. It comes in a squeeze tube design which is a huge improvement from its predecessor - the doe foot applicator.<br />
<br />
<b>Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil </b>- Zero<br />
This eyeliner is hands down the best I've tried. My friend Jen, was kind enough to give me a mini pencil and I haven't looked back since. It's dark and it doesn't smear on my eyelid (which is more than I can say for other eyeliners - gel and pencil). I also have a brown one which I like as well.<br />
<br />
<b>Ameli Cake Eyeshadow </b>- Sweet Diamond<br />
This is my favourite eyeshadow if I want to do the sweet, doll like look (Louis Vuitton S/S 2012 Makeup). It's a pink with a lot of gold shimmer. It's lovely if you put it just on the ball of your eye.<br />

<br />
<b>Maybelline One By One Mascara</b><br />
I've always like Maybelline mascaras. I think of all of the drugstore brands, Maybelline make the best ones. My favourite is the Volume Express Falsies - the volume is wonderful and it doesn't clump. However, the One By One Mascara offers clean defined lashes and it is great for everyday - even on its own it looks good because it doesn't clump<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, I don't have any lip favourites. I'm still looking for a nice pink lipstick that looks nice on my skin tone.<br />
<br />
So, there are my Spring 2012 beauty favourites. What are your favourite products for this season?Ponyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10757062005907879996noreply@blogger.com0
