Food and Games

Hello Lovelies, hope you're all doing well!
Life of a uni student for me is basically food and games.
It's terrible because I really should be doing my assignment right now, but the adrenaline hasn't hit me yet. Usually adrenaline helps me get better ideas and my work turns out better (ha!)

Last friday, I went to Dae Jang Geum for Korean BBQ for a friend's birthday dinner. To be honest, for what I paid, I wasn't very satisfied. Maybe if you're not too hungry but still want KBBQ, Dae Jang Geum is good. Although I would have rather paid $30 for all you can eat and stuffed my face full of samgyupsal.

Also went to Passionflower! Mission Impossible!

And then M's hot pot night! Definitely too much food that time round! She was such a lovely host and everyone made the night so much fun. Games of the night included Mario Kart DS, Mahjong and Monopoly Deal. We had a little Monopoly Deal tournament and V won! She's so good at it.
And big thank you to S for picking me up and taking me home!

My tiles and my giant pocky.

La Belle Miette macarons! I had a Deep and Meaningful with my best friend and it's always the divine Salt Caramel macaron that we have!
Oh and her raspberry one too.

Possibly my favourite game of all time, Heroes of Might and Magic!
I thought I was the only one who played this game, but a lot of my friends have played it too!
It's a turn based strategy. You command an army to try and achieve the objective of the map.
I'm terrible at the game, because I tend to run out of money very quickly. But nonetheless, I love it!

More Deep and Meaningful food with Bibi.

Today's lunch. Milk tea with pearls from Easyway and Salmon sushi. Yuuum!

My YesStyle package arrived the other day. I know I wasn't supposed to buy more makeup, but there were some things that I didn't own. Mainly olive/khaki eyeshadows, a eyeliner, concealer and powder foundation.
The Skinfood loose powder has a very strong perfume which I don't really like. I'm not too fussy about scented products, but it's so heavily scented I can't really use it!
I also accidentally ordered TWO of the Missha Khaki Combination palette. Luckily I like it enough to keep the palette and not sell it or give it away. I might change my mind later.

So that's me for the week! I have an assignment to do so I probably won't blog again until late next week.

Online shopping - the deliveries!

Hi Lovelies, hope you're all doing well!

So I got a couple of packages in the mail in the last few days~

My new phone case for my Samsung Galaxy S2! I can't exactly remember which site I bought it from, but the shipping is so ridiculously expensive, I won't bother.
The case wasn't very expensive, so I could justify even purchasing this.

Hello Kitty Bow Samsung Galaxy S2 case

My Fusion Beads package also came in the mail! I had ordered a few pearls and beads to make some jewellery out of - namely bracelets. However, they didn't send me the toggle clasps. They were the most expensive part of the order and it wasn't sent! I sent them an email about it, but no reply.
I think I'm just going to buy my next batch of beads from eBay instead!

My jewellery making tools

Also an Etsy package!
My Hunger Games inspired jewellery!
I have been totally obsessed with the Hunger Games. The story is so hauntingly captivating that I just can't stop re-reading it and looking for good fanfiction for it!

Bow and arrow bracelet with Peeta's pearl (Etsy), Girl on Fire bracelet (made by me)

Mockingjay necklace (Etsy)
Last night, someone introduced me to something rather strange...

Candy Bacon.

Candy Bacon
It smells awful! I think my nose wanted to fall off.

And also my Oroton Umbrella!
I was thinking of buying the signature O umbrella, but the pink one was all sold out!
So I settled for this one.

The colour is called Oxblood which was part of the reason I bought this colour haha!

❥ - - - Melbourne Bloggers Yum Cha

Hello Lovelies!

I'm sure you've seen at least half a dozen of these blog posts... but last Thursday I met up with some lovely bloggers for some Yumcha. Thank you to the lovely Sue and Melody for organising this!

We went to Rainbow for the Yum cha buffet. To be totally honest, I think everyone was so polite and we didn't eat very much because of it. I guess no one wanted to look weird by stuffing their faces with dim sims haha!

Back Row L-R: May, Melody, Lis and Megu
Front Row L-R: Me, Sue, Tam and Steph

A few of us were itching to try the new Lip Butters that are now at Priceline! They were having a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion. I picked up another two, Berry Smoothie and Cherry Tart.
I think that's all the Lip Butters I'm going to try.

Silly face!

Today I had to hand in Accounting assignment. I was so stressed about it because I didn't know how to use MYOB T__T

Yeah, I'm scared of MYOB okay? It's scary and confusing ):

I finally got it done with the help of my friend, yay!

And because I want to share my daily dose of Josh Hutcherson...

Oh and to h.tea:
The shoes do show slight toe cleavage towards the pinky toe and it's got this tiny heel. Nothing noticeable or anything but it's not completely flat ^__^

Universal on Lygon

Hello lovelies! Hope you're all doing well!

Tonight I went out to celebrate my friend M's birthday. He chose Universal on Lygon for his birthday dinner. I've eaten here before for another friend's dinner.
They specialise in Italian food and mains cost around $15-$20 for pasta and $20-$40 for steaks. They also have a 1kg rump steak too if you're super hungry!

3 Cheese Ravioli - $19.90
This was really yummy! I'm a sucker for cheesey pasta so this was perfect for me! It has a pesto sauce on top as well as some spinach and some tomatoes. There is a good amount of olive oil at the bottom but I didn't mind that too much.

Dessert was Panna Cotta! I had this the last time I was there and it was just as delicious! They also have things like gelato, tiramisu and chocolate puddings if that's more your style of dessert.

My friend H ordered the gelato tasting plate for two. Because he didn't eat it fast enough and because he was a feeling a bit stupid, he decided to shot the melting gelato.
Ahh he makes the funniest faces!

ASOS Haul!

Who doesn't love shopping online? Certainly not me!
I put in an order on asos.com because I really wanted a new backpack. I already have a small pleather one but it wasn't big enough to carry all my books for uni. My shoulder bag has been wonderful at being a book bag for the past 4 years, but it's taken a toll on my shoulders and back.

I am proud to present my new Herschel Settlement backpack!

I had been shopping around online for a decent quality backpack. I had my eye on a Jansport one, but I never really liked the logo. I stumbled upon the brand Herschel while I was looking on Amazon and it suddenly dawned on me just how popular these bags are!
I think they're the male equivalent of the Longchamp Le Pliage! I've seen so many guys walking around with a Herschel backpack or something that looks similar.
Not to mention I'm starting to grow out of my old style of clothes. I'm starting to lean more toward gender neutral, almost tomboyish clothes.

I also bought these shoes! I've been really wanting a pair of flat Mary Jane T-bars (I have a pair of heeled ones too) to go with dresses that I don't have the right shoes to match. These will be perfect for some of my dresses!

Also had a little makeup splurge! Some lipstains and an Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Olive.

Pukka Pad! I've decided to use this for my exam revision notes. That way I can carry it around with me and it's not too bulky!

I've been feeling really stressed and negative in the last few days. Thank god Bibi, H and H (haha) were in the mood to go out for chat over macarons and drinks.
La Belle Miette macarons and some pear nectar from Brunetti's.

Revlon Lip Butters!

My Revlon Lip Butters came in the mail today! I'm so excited for these because they were so hyped on the YouTube beauty community!

I bought L-R: Peach Parfait, Red Velvet, Fig Jam, Candy Apple, Pink Truffle.

I've tried each of them on my lips, and I have to say, I love the way they feel on my lips! They remind me of my Dior Addict lipstick!
I'll update this with a picture of some swatches.
Reviews of Individual Colours:
Peach Parfait: The sheerest of all the colours I purchased. It's a lovely pink colour, but unfortunately it does not show up on my pigmented lips. However if you have pale lips and a pale complexion, this would look lovely.
Pink Truffle: This is my "my lips but better"colour. It's a neutral pink with a little bit of brown undertone.
Candy Apple: A bright red, slightly orange with a hint of shimmer. If you have trouble with red lipstick, give this a try! You can put on a tiny bit and spread it out and have a hint of red on your lips, or put on a few layers and have glossy bold lips!
Fig Jam: This is a brown lipstick and I think it'd suit those with pigmented lips. It gives off a sort of vampy plummy brown. I really like this one!
Red Velvet: This is my favourite! It comes off as a vampy red if you layer it on, but you can always just apply a little!

I really do like these and would recommend these to everyone :) I bought mine from eBay since cosmetics here are stupidly overpriced ):

Lunch today at Petaling Street. I'm not a huge fan of Malaysian cuisine, but I did enjoy this steamed chicken bento!

Face of the day :)

I went with my sister to buy her school uniform, and the sales lady looked straight at me and asked me which school uniform I was looking for.

I've always loved GIFs in blog posts I read. It always adds an element of humour to the post! I'm going to use them more often!

I'm currently obsessed with Josh Hutcherson! I've been a fan of his since Bridge to Terabithia (he was so adorable!). I never realised how cute he is now!
That smile...

I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!
I want to use that line one day when a cute guy says he's single and I hope to dear god that he has read The Hunger Games and then we fall in love and live happily ever after.

I wish I could have a Josh Hutcherson all to myself.

Effie Trinket Nails

I redid my nails again! This time, inspired by Effie Trinket and the nails she had during the Reaping scene. China Glaze Wild Mink and NYX pigment in Mink Pearl.
I didn't intend for the two to have Mink in their names!

Also bought some sweet treats from work.
The white chocolate tasted a little funny... it says it doesn't have any added sugar and I think they must have used some kind of sweetener...
I can't wait till after Easter when all the Easter chocolate goes on sale!
